Combining elements of Chicken Run, Animal Farm, Maus, Fiddler on the Roof, the controversial PETA ads that compared factory farming of chickens to the Holocaust... whew! This video is like a montage of animal personification. Does anyone else see any other references? I think that if one had a mind to parse this video (and I'm not sure if I would even if I wasn't facing finals right now) I think it could be read in a widde variety of ways. At the end of it though, I think it's a pretty cool video (and the scene where the Hitler pig becomes sausage made me laugh out loud).
It's true, the references are insane. I guess my question also is what this means as a Holocaut video. Are they saying we actually prevailed like the chickens do, which is where all the Passover references fit in, or is this a fantasy. Its really negative toward the Nazis, but in like a punk-rocky angry, we rock you suck kind of way, but that kind of overshoots alot of the tragedy. Soooo weird.
